2008 Recycling Schedule

Bottles and Cans Collected

Bottles and cans will be collected throughout the Borough on the first and third Thursdays. Bottles and cans will be picked up rain or shine except in severe weather, in which case collection will be the following day, weather permitting. In case of continued severe weather, collection is cancelled until the next scheduled pickup. Remember, you may always take your recyclables to the Recycling Center at the Borough Yard.

Newspaper Collection Schedule

Newspaper are collected curbside throughout the Borough on the second and fourth Thursday of each month with the exception of November *, when the Boy Scouts will collect on the Saturday preceding Thanksgiving. There will be no collection on the fourth Thursday in November and no collection on 5th Thursdays. Borough collections begin at 7:30 am. If newspapers are placed at the curb the night before, please cover. Wet newspapers are not recyclable.

RAINDATE for Borough collections is Friday, the following day. Weather permitting.

NOTE: A reminder that the Brielle Boy Scout Troop 63 will collect Newspapers on Saturday, November 22nd in place of the Borough's regular collection on the fourth Thursday of the month.

Stickers Available

Many of you have asked for stickers with which to mark your calendars for recycling collection days. Well, we have them. You may pick up a sheet at the tax window. Thanks for asking.

Open 7am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday. 9am - 1pm Saturdays.

Recycling Buckets: Public Works department has asked that you set out your recycling in 20-30 gallon containers instead of multiple small ones.
